Henry Nguyen has a research program in molecular genetics and biotechnology. His research interests include structural and functional genomics of soybean and model plants. Specific research areas include:

  1. Genetic and physical mapping of traits controlling plant adaptation and productivity under stress conditions (drought, flooding and high temperature).
  2. Integrated functional genomics and genetic engineering for stress tolerance and value-added traits in soybean.
  3. Development and application of genomic technologies to soybean improvement.
